How to save carrot seeds

Carrot is also called red radish, carrot, etc. Its seeds are not inside the carrot, but on the carrot tassels of the plant. If the flowers are not pulled out after maturity, the above-ground parts will bloom and bear fruit, and then seeds will be produced.

Late summer and early autumn are the time when carrot seeds mature. After the flowers of the plant fade, cut off the remaining flower branches from the base, then pick the fruits and wait until the seeds are mature before picking them. Use tweezers to carefully remove them.

Carrot seed propagation

Carrots are a plant that can be propagated by seeds, which are usually sown in February in spring and July in autumn, but there are differences in different regions. If the environment is suitable, seedlings will emerge 4-5 days after sowing, and it takes two months for the fleshy roots to grow.
