Is Anthurium a shade or sun-loving plant?

Do Anthuriums prefer shade or sun?

Anthurium is a plant that likes sunlight. It belongs to the tropical rainforest. An environment with sufficient light allows it to absorb nutrients more fully.

Its suitable growth temperature is 26-32℃, and the highest temperature it can tolerate is 35℃. When the temperature is below 13℃, it needs sunlight or a heater to keep warm.

Anthurium basking in the sun

Anthurium needs a certain amount of sunlight during the growing season. When cultivating Anthurium, pay attention to placing it on the shady side of the room or in a place with scattered light in the hall in summer. In winter, it needs to be placed on the sunny side, preferably with direct sunlight, so that it can develop better.

Anthurium can be exposed to the sun. It needs more sun exposure at ordinary times, especially during the winter. It needs to be shaded in the summer to prevent the plant from being burned by excessive sun.

Anthurium growth habits

Anthurium likes a warm and humid environment and is suitable for growing in loose, fertile, well-drained, slightly acidic soil. Generally, it has poor cold resistance and needs to control the temperature environment in winter. It is best to have long-term light exposure. It is usually cultivated in potted plants and placed on the balcony or by the window of a sunny bedroom.
