How to grow tiger orchid and make it bloom

1. Loam

Tiger orchid is suitable for growing in slightly acidic loam, which must have a loose texture and good drainage. In daily life, it can be mixed with leaf mold, peat soil, and river sand to ensure nutrient supply.

2. Sunlight

Tiger orchid is suitable for growing in a good sunlight environment, which is helpful for its future growth. The sunlight is very strong in summer and needs shade. In the other three seasons, the sunlight exposure needs to be strengthened. The shady environment will make the leaves thinner and affect flowering.

3. Water and fertilizer

Tiger orchid needs to be watered according to its growth conditions. If the soil in the pot is too dry in spring, summer and autumn and the plant cannot absorb water, it will affect its condition. The climate is cold in winter and the growth rate slows down. Watering should be reduced. Growth requires nutrient supply. Fertilizer and water can be applied every 15 days, and phosphorus and potassium fertilizers should be added before flowering to ensure that the flowers bloom.

4. Temperature

Tiger orchid likes a warm growing environment and is not cold-resistant. 10-12 degrees is the best growth range. The temperature cannot be lower than 5 degrees in autumn and winter, otherwise frost damage will occur.
