How to divide the succulent Tia into pots and what is the time and method for dividing the pots

Time to divide the succulent Tia

The succulent plant Tia can be repotted when it is cool. Repotting at this time will cause the least damage to it. After repotting, the seasonal temperature is just right, allowing it to quickly adapt to the pot and grow and bloom.

The correct way to divide the succulent Tia

1. Remove soil

Before changing the soil of the succulent Tia, you can reduce watering so that the soil can be removed from the pot better. After removing it from the pot, clean the large amount of soil at the roots.

2. Prune the roots

Cut off all rotten roots, weak roots, and diseased roots to promote the growth of new roots. After pruning, soak the roots in a solution of carbendazim for five minutes to disinfect them to prevent them from being infected by pathogens later.

3. Repotting

After pruning the succulent Tia, fill the soil and water it thoroughly, then place it in a well-ventilated and diffused light place for maintenance. After it adapts to the new environment, increase the light exposure time and water it again when the soil is dry.

Repotting the succulent plant Tia

Prepare loose sandy soil. You can use peat soil, perlite and river sand. After preparing the soil, cut a small hole in the soil, insert the branches into it, and water it around.

Precautions for transplanting succulent plants

1. If the cut is large when pruning the succulent plant Tia, you need to apply wood ash, sulfur powder, etc., and dry it in a well-ventilated place for 3 to 7 days. Then put it in the pot after the wound heals.

2. Tia likes dry, loose, fertile, and well-breathed mixed soil. You can add mud, sand, and animal bone powder to ordinary flower bed soil.

3. The wilting leaves of Tia succulent may be due to too frequent watering, which has caused water accumulation in the soil and caused it to be waterlogged. At this time, it should be moved to a well-ventilated place and the soil should be dried. It may also be because the environment has changed and it has not yet adapted. At this time, as long as it is kept warm, water is controlled appropriately, and fertilization is stopped, it will be able to recover in about 10 days.
