How to make longan sprout quickly

Longan germination environment

Longan seeds can be purchased online, or you can collect the longan kernels you normally eat, wash them and use them as seeds. Note that the seeds need to be plump and strong. Seeds that have become shriveled or broken need to be discarded.

Longan has a wide adaptability to soil. You can choose ordinary garden soil, peat soil or purchased nutrient soil to make longan seeds grow well, but the soil must have good air permeability and drainage.

Longan germination process

First, you need to prepare the longan seeds, plant them with the bud tip facing upward in loose, fertile, and well-breathable soil, cover them with a thin layer of soil, and gently compact the soil. After about 15 days of normal maintenance, small buds will grow.

Direct planting of longan seeds

It is best not to sow longan seeds directly. The selected longan seeds need to be soaked in water to soften their shells before sowing.

Longan sprouts in the soil

After soaking in water for a week, the seed shells have basically fallen off and small buds have grown, and they can now be planted in the soil.

Longan Seed Germination Method

Choose plump, disease-free longan seeds and soak them in clean water for two days. You will see that the shells have begun to crack. Change the water every day and let them continue to soak in fresh water to crack the shells. They can be sown after a week.

Longan germination planting method

Longan seeds need to be soaked in water in advance, and the shells need to be broken after about 7 days. After being fished out, plant the longan seeds with the bud tip facing upwards in the soil, and spray water twice a day. Small buds will grow after a dozen days, and they will grow vigorously after a month.
