How to make peas sprout quickly

Pea germination environment

Pea seeds can be planted with seeds harvested from peas planted last year, or you can buy them directly from the market.

Peas prefer a cool and humid environment. They are usually sown in spring and autumn. If you want them to germinate as quickly as possible, you need to provide a humid environment. The ambient temperature should be between 20-30 degrees. The light should not be too strong. It is suitable for maintenance in a place with scattered light. The soil should be prepared to be clay soil rich in lime and with good drainage.

Pea germination process

First, select good quality pea seeds, then soak them in warm water, take them out and wrap them with a moist paper towel, then spray water on them every day to keep them moist, they will germinate after 2-3 days and white buds will grow on them.

Pea sprouts in the soil

After the peas germinate, they can be sown in loose and fertile soil and covered with a thin layer of soil. The seeds will grow roots and then penetrate into the soil.

Pea Seed Germination

Choose plump and strong pea seeds. They do not require very high temperatures to germinate, but the higher the temperature, the faster they germinate. Generally, they can germinate at three to five degrees. They have strong cold resistance and can germinate in a low temperature environment of 2 degrees.

How to grow pea sprouts

1. First prepare the seeds, discard the seeds floating on the water surface, and germinate the remaining seeds. The seeds will germinate faster if placed in a low temperature environment of 2 degrees.

2. Before sowing, you must apply enough fertilizer so that more peas can be produced. Use the spot sowing method and plant five peas in each nest. After sowing, cover with five centimeters of soil. If the weather is dry, you can cover with more soil and then water.

3. After the peas germinate after sowing, you need to loosen the soil frequently and cultivate the soil once in winter so that they can safely spend the winter. Fertilize once before the peas bloom, apply more phosphorus and potassium fertilizers, and water them frequently. The peas will form pods about seventeen days after blooming, and you can pick them and harvest them when they are full.
