How long does it take for Jaboticola cuttings to take root?

Jabuticaba cutting rooting time

Jabuticaba is usually propagated from branches with 2-3 nodes and about 5 leaves between May 10th and 20th every year. Jabuticaba usually takes root and sprouts in about a month. If the temperature is low, the germination time will be slower.

Jabuticaba cutting rooting method

Choose strong, disease-free branches, soak their roots in gibberellins for a period of time, and use the nutrients in the soil to grow and reproduce. Semi-hard branch cuttings (2 nodes and 4 leaves) can be used in May each year. The substrate is mainly peat soil, and the rooting rate is very high.

Jabuticaba cutting management

1. When cutting jaboticaba, soak the roots in gibberellin for a period of time for disinfection. This can reduce the occurrence of diseases and pests and promote the healthy growth of the plants.

2. After the jaboticaba is grafted, pay attention to shade and place it in a bright and ventilated place. After the rhizomes grow out, it can be exposed to light appropriately, but strong light is not allowed, otherwise it will cause the leaves to wilt and affect the speed of rooting.

3. Fertilizer can be applied to the jaboticaba cuttings after they have taken root. Water-soluble fertilizer or long-acting fertilizer can be applied once every month or so to meet the jaboticaba's nutrient needs.

4. When watering the jaboticaba for the first time, you can wet the soil thoroughly. When the surface becomes dry, you need to water it again, but not too much.
