Causes and treatments for yellow mint leaves

Causes and treatments for yellow mint leaves

1. Excessive watering

1. Reason: Although mint grows better in a relatively humid environment, it cannot be watered frequently when caring for it. Otherwise, it will be waterlogged and yellow leaves will appear.

2. Treatment method: After it is waterlogged, it needs to be taken out of the potting soil in time, and the yellowed leaves and black rotten roots on the plant should be cut off with scissors. After that, soak it in disinfectant for 20-30 minutes, and then plant it in new soil that is easy to drain.

2. Insufficient ventilation

1. Reason: Being in a closed environment for a long time will cause the plant to grow poorly and its leaves will turn yellow.

2. Treatment method: It needs more ventilation. If the ventilation conditions in the place where it is kept are too poor, you need to move it to the window or balcony. In this way, it will be able to recover soon.

3. Insufficient light

1. Reason: It is suitable for growing in a location with sufficient light. If it is kept in a place without sunlight for a long time, it will not be able to synthesize pigments and nutrients normally, and the leaves will turn yellow.

2. Treatment method: At this time, you need to move it to a place where it can get sunlight and maintain it slowly. Once it receives enough sunlight, it will be able to synthesize pigments and nutrients and restore its health.
