Why do plants bloom and bear fruit? Why do plants bloom and bear fruit?

1. Why does it bloom?

Most plants can bloom, but some plants do not bloom obviously. For common flowering plants, flowering is mainly for the purpose of spreading the pollen of the plant. The flowers that bloom are generally bright and colorful, and many have fragrance, which can attract insects to spread pollen and thus complete the purpose of fertilization. However, some flowers are special and may emit a bad smell. These plants mainly attract insects such as flies. Once fertilized, the ultimate purpose of the flower is to reproduce offspring.

2. Why the result

Not all plants can bear fruit. There are two main functions of plants bearing fruit. One is to protect the seeds inside. If the seeds are exposed and damaged, they may not be able to reproduce normally and will naturally fall to the ground and be damaged, affecting the survival rate. Secondly, the skin of some fruits has small wings, spines, barbs, etc., which broaden the path of seed dispersal. The seeds can be spread by the wind or by animals, so that they can be spread to other places later and fall into the soil to germinate. In fact, the ultimate purpose of fruiting is the same as that of flowering, which is to reproduce offspring.
