What is Chunbulao?

"Chunbulao" is a famous dish in Poyang. It is only produced on the four banks of East Lake and the West Gate and Gaomen of Shangtu Lake, that is, it grows around the old city of Poyang Town. Other names of Chunbulao include Xuelihong, Vere non est antiquis, and Ardisia squamulosa Presl. Chunbulao is available in all seasons, with the main seasons being autumn and spring. There are two places in my country where Chunbulao is produced, namely Baoding and Jiangxi.

What does Spring Never Age look like?

Spring Bulrush is an evergreen small tree or shrub with alternate leaves that are obovate or oblong. The tips of the leaves are rounded and blunt, gradually becoming smaller at the base. Both sides of the leaves are smooth, and the leaf margins are not serrated. It is a plant with entire leaves.

How to make Chun Bu Lao

1. Stir-fried pork with salted vegetables

(1) Soak the spring salted vegetables in water and cut into sections.
(2) Cut the pork belly into small, even pieces.
(4) (3) Add a spoonful of salt and a little dark soy sauce and marinate for ten minutes.
(5) Heat the oil and fry the meat over low heat until fragrant. Add the Chunbulao salted vegetables after about five minutes.
(6) Stir-fry until the spring salted vegetables are evenly coated with oil. Add salt and soy sauce, stir-fry for two minutes, pour into the pressure cooker, add half a small bowl of boiling water. Press the stew button and wait for it to come out of the pot fragrantly.

2. Stir-fried French Beans with Spring Bulao

(1) Wash green beans, remove the ends and side tendons, and cut into cubes; crush the garlic; soak the peanuts in cold water for 20 minutes.
(2) Pour an appropriate amount of cold water into a cooking pot, add a star anise, add peanuts and cook until done. Remove the peanuts and set aside.
(3) Heat oil in a pan until it is 50% hot, add Sichuan peppercorns and fry over low heat until the peppercorns are fragrant and turn red and black, then discard the peppercorns and save the remaining oil.
(4) Increase the heat, add minced garlic and stir-fry until fragrant, then add green beans and stir-fry.
(5) Stir-fry the spring celery and chili powder together, then simmer the green beans with rice wine and boiling water (the amount of boiling water should not be too much).
(6) When green beans are cooked, add cooked peanuts, salt and MSG for seasoning and serve.

The efficacy and function of Chunbulao

1. Refreshing the mind: Chunbulao contains a large amount of ascorbic acid, which can increase the oxygen content in the brain, stimulate the brain's use of oxygen, and has the effect of refreshing the mind and relieving fatigue.
2. Detoxification and swelling reduction: Chunbulao can also detoxify, resist infection and prevent diseases, inhibit the toxicity of bacterial toxins, promote wound healing, and can be used as an auxiliary treatment for infectious diseases.
