Maple trees are tall trees that bloom from April to May and bear fruit from September to October. In autumn, the maple leaves turn into a fiery red, and when they fall to the ground, the color of the leaves turns into deep red.

Growth characteristics of maple trees : Maple trees should be planted in a relatively shaded, moist and fertile place to avoid direct sunlight that would cause the leaves to shrink, and they should be given sufficient sunlight in autumn.

Maple tree growth rate

The growth rate of maple trees : The annual diameter growth of maple trees is about 0.2 cm, and the growth height is about 25-30 cm.

Growth process : Maple leaves grow in spring. They are relatively small at first and light green in color. Later, they will grow larger after being nourished by water, light and nutrients. In summer, the leaves will be very broad and turn dark green in color. They will turn red when the temperature drops in autumn, and begin to fall in early winter.

Maple Tree Growth Cycle Management

It takes about 40 liters of maple sap to produce 1 liter of maple syrup. Its yield is very low, so it is very precious. A large tree over 30 cm produces about 10-30 pounds of oil a month, while a small tree within 20 cm produces about 5-10 pounds a month.

Temperature management : The suitable growth temperature for maple trees is generally between 13-15 degrees, not exceeding 35 degrees. Place it in a slightly diffused light or shaded place.

Fertilization management : Maple trees are best planted between February and March in spring. The roots and branches should be properly pruned before planting, and decomposed bean cake should be applied to the bottom of the pot as base fertilizer. Maple trees can be planted with a mixture of 2/3 humus soil and 1/3 sand.
