How to grow lucky bamboo in soil

How to grow lucky bamboo in soil

1. Temperature

It prefers temperatures between 20 and 28 degrees, under which it can grow best and fastest. If such an environment can be created for it all year round, its leaves will definitely grow very green. It is important to keep it warm in winter, otherwise it will easily get frostbite. It doesn't like low temperatures, and if it's below 5 degrees, it will stop growing, so move it indoors in winter.

2. Lighting

It prefers a semi-shaded environment. If it is exposed to the sun, its leaves will easily turn yellow. Although it has emerald green leaves, it does not like the sun, so it is more suitable to be placed indoors. If you have this plant at home, don't take it for granted that it needs light and move it to the balcony to bask in the sun. This requires special attention.

3. Water

It is afraid of drought and has a strong tolerance to waterlogging, so the soil in its pot should be kept moist. If it is too dry, its leaves will turn yellow. Normally, you should water it every two or three days, but you can reduce the frequency in winter. You must pay attention to this link. It particularly likes water, so you can't just provide water to its roots. You also need to spray water on the leaves from time to time, so that the leaves can grow green and be healthier and brighter. Moreover, watering the leaves frequently will increase the humidity of the surrounding environment, so that the leaves will not wither due to being too dry.

4. Fertilization

The best time to plant it in the soil is from April to September, during which time it is easier for it to take root. May to September is the time of its most vigorous growth. You can add compound fertilizer to the soil every month, about two or three times a month, so that the leaves can become more dense. It prefers fertilizer, so you need to provide it with sufficient nutrients. You can go to the market to buy organic fertilizer specifically for it, and water it once every fifteen days after diluting it.
