Cherry seed sowing time

Cherries are suitable for sowing from March to June every year, especially during the rainy season. When sowing, sow the kernels directly in a shallow pot, and they will bloom around March to April.

Cherry seeds are suitable for sowing in early spring from February to April, so they are not suitable for planting in summer. If planted, it will be detrimental to its rooting and germination.

Cherry seeds can be sown in mid to late November in autumn, or in late April in spring. Soak the seeds in potassium permanganate aqueous solution for 1 hour, rinse with clean water and then sow. Generally, row sowing is used. After sowing, cover with 4-4.5 cm of soil, water once, and wait for germination.

Before sowing cherries, the seeds need to be processed. They can be disinfected in a potassium permanganate solution, taken out after about 1 hour, washed with clean water, and then sown in the prepared soil.

1. Water and fertilizer: The principle of fertilizing and watering cherries is to apply less but more frequently, and apply water when the soil is dry and wet when the soil is wet. You can water every day in summer, and spray water appropriately. Water less frequently in spring and autumn, and stop watering in winter. Fertilize frequently before July. You can use cake fertilizer, sesame paste residue, yogurt, rice water, bone chips, etc. Urea and phosphorus and potassium fertilizers should be applied before and after flowering.

2. Temperature: Cherries prefer a warm, sunny environment and are suitable for growing under conditions where the average annual temperature is 10-12 degrees. When cultivating, you should pay attention to taking warming measures during the low temperatures in winter and provide sufficient light at other times.
