Chrysanthemum seeds sowed in summer

Chrysanthemum is mainly sown in spring. The temperature is high in summer and the light intensity is also very strong, which is not suitable for rooting and sprouting, and is also not conducive to later growth. Therefore, it is best not to plant it in summer.

Method of sowing seeds of Chrysanthemum

Soaking the seeds of daisy in clean water in advance will help increase the seed germination rate. Choose a fertile, loose and well-drained medium as the soil for sowing, and dig small holes in the soil. Then sprinkle the prepared seeds into the holes and cover them with a thin layer of soil. Water once to keep the soil moist.

Seed treatment

Before sowing daisy, you can soak the seeds in 50-degree warm water. Then take out the full seeds and soak them in clean water for 1-2 days. This can shorten the dormancy period of the seeds and make them germinate better.

Seed germination

If the light, temperature and watering are managed properly, the seeds of the daisy will sprout new shoots in about 20 days.

Seed germination

After the seeds of Chrysanthemum germinate, the light exposure time needs to be extended. The direct sunlight should not be less than 4 hours a day. Liquid fertilizer can be applied once every 10 days during the growth period. Watering should be done when the soil is dry and the soil in the pot should not be too dry or too wet. It grows slowly, and the branches are thin and soft, so it needs to be topped to promote the growth of branches.
