Okra seeds can be kept for several years. It can retain seeds on its own. After the okra is mature, you can peel it and take out the seeds.

Okra Seed Planting

Okra seeds are generally sown in spring, and it is best to sow after the last frost when the ground temperature is above 15°C. In southern China, they can be sown after February, in the north they can be sown in early to mid-May, in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River they can be sown in early April, and in coastal areas they can be sown in late April. If sown in a greenhouse, they can be sown all year round.

First, soak the okra seeds for 12 hours, and then place them in an environment of 25-30℃ to germinate. The seeds will germinate after about 24 hours. When 60%-70% of the seeds are white, sow them in the soil. Water them first, then sow them. Cover them with 2 cm of soil after sowing, and keep the temperature at around 25℃. The okra seeds will germinate in about 4-5 days.
