It is best to water chrysanthemums every few days

How often should chrysanthemums be watered?

During the growing season of chrysanthemums in spring, the soil should be kept moist and watered every 2 to 3 days. In summer, the temperature is high and water evaporates quickly, so it needs to be watered once a day. During the high temperature period, water it once in the morning and evening. In autumn, the climate is cool and water evaporates less quickly than in summer, so it only needs to be watered once every 3 to 5 days. Chrysanthemums stop growing in winter and basically do not need to be watered.

The amount of watering depends on the weather, soil and seedling conditions. In hot and dry seasons, the evaporation is large, so water 1-2 times a day; in low temperature and rainy days, water less or not at all. When it rains heavily, pour water in a bucket in time to prevent the chrysanthemum roots from being waterlogged, rotted and dying.

What kind of water is best for chrysanthemums?

1. River water : River water contains trace elements and minerals. Using river water to water chrysanthemums can prevent the soil from becoming hardened.

2. Pond water : Pond water is very good for growing chrysanthemums. It does not need to be dried in the sun, and the pond water can still play a good role in making the chrysanthemums grow more luxuriantly.

3. Stored rainwater : When it rains, store the rainwater in your mobile phone and use it to water the chrysanthemums. Rainwater is a good thing. It has a high oxygen content and is very suitable for watering chrysanthemums.

What to do if you water your chrysanthemums too much

1. Prune the roots : If the chrysanthemum is watered too much, the roots of the plant will definitely rot. At this time, you should wash the soil at the roots and check the rot condition of the chrysanthemum roots. If the rot is not serious, cut off the rotten part. If most of it has rotted, you can give up and plant a new chrysanthemum.

2. Rooting water : dilute the potassium permanganate solution with 1200 times of water. When the water turns light pink, soak the roots of the chrysanthemum in the solution. Do not let the leaves of the plant come into contact with the liquid. Finally, dry the roots in a dry environment.

3. Potting soil : The soil that was watered too much before is no longer needed. Soak the flower pot in boiling water, then take it out and fill it with loose, breathable and fertile soil.
