Is the yield of black peanuts high?

Black peanuts are a variety of peanuts with a very high yield. The yield per mu is generally around 800-1000 jin, but the empty shell rate of the fruit is high and there are many bad kernels. Choosing a suitable variety is the key to achieving high yield, such as Heifeng No. 1.

How to grow black peanuts to get high yield

1. Soil selection

If you want to obtain high-quality, high-yield black peanuts, the most suitable soil for sowing is sandy loam with deep soil layer, loose soil texture and good drainage. The thickness of the soil layer should be more than 50 cm.

2. Seed treatment

Before planting, the pods for seeds should be selected. Generally, plump double-kernel pods are selected as seeds, and the pods should be dried in advance to break the dormancy of the seeds, which can enhance the permeability of the seed coat.

3. Sowing

The sowing method of black peanuts can be carried out in the same way as open field sowing, with artificial sowing. The planting depth should be about 5 cm. After sowing, press gently to make the seeds in close contact with the soil.

4. Irrigation and drainage

Black peanuts are afraid of both drought and waterlogging. If there is a lack of water during the growth period of the plant, it will affect the normal growth of the plant and the ovary will not be able to swell. If there is a lack of water during the pod-setting period, the yield will be greatly reduced, so it is necessary to replenish water in time.

5. Apply fertilizer in time

In the later stage of black peanut growth, nitrogen fertilizer can be sprayed on the leaves, so that the plant's absorption rate will be higher. Spraying phosphorus fertilizer can promote the fullness of the pods and increase yield.
