When is the best time to sow Lychnophora

Lychnophora sowing time

Lychnophora, also known as large-flowered lychnophora, is a plant of the Caryophyllaceae family and the genus Lychnophora. Lychnophora can be sown in spring and autumn, mainly in March and April, and in autumn mainly in August and September. If the temperature in the northern region is low, it can be sown in the greenhouse.

Lychnophora sowing method

1. Before sowing camphor, you need to choose good soil. You can choose relatively loose soil, water it enough to keep the soil moist, then mix the seeds and fine sand evenly, and cover them with a layer of soil after planting.

2. After sowing the camphor tree, maintain a good environmental temperature and the seedlings will emerge after 7-10 days. After germination, pay attention to air circulation. When one leaf grows, you can divide the seedlings. When 5 leaves grow, you can transplant and plant them.

Key points for planting Lychnos

1. Lycoris radiata does not have high requirements for soil. Generally, loose soil with good drainage can be selected. Humus-rich calcareous soil and sandy soil are both good choices.

2. Lycoris prefers a humid environment, so watering it during the growth period is also very important. In spring, you need to water it more frequently, every 4-5 days.

3. Lycoris radiata likes a warm environment and is not cold-resistant. It is suitable for growing in an environment of 15 to 35 degrees. Only by maintaining a good ambient temperature can it germinate and grow normally.

4. When the campion reaches a certain stage of maintenance, it needs to be pruned, which can prolong the flowering period and enable it to grow well. In the early stages of growth, when the plant height is 20 cm, it is necessary to pinch the top in time.

Lychnophora flowering time

If the campion is sown in spring, it will bloom in June. If it is sown in autumn, it will bloom in May of the following year. If it is well maintained, the flowering period will be extended.
