How to get corn seeds

Corn has seeds, which grow inside the fruit. It is a kind of angiosperm. Generally, when the fruit is ripe, you can just rub off the seeds. The harvesting method is relatively simple.

After the corn seeds are peeled off, they need to be dried again, and then clean and plump corn seeds should be selected and placed in a glass jar for storage. Add desiccant and seal it, and then you can wait until next year to sow it.

What do corn seeds look like?

Corn seeds come in many shapes, such as oval and U-shaped. They generally refer to corn kernels, which look very shiny. Fresh seeds are very plump and granular, and the seeds are basically the same size.

How to plant corn seeds

Corn seeds are generally planted in April and May, and no later than mid-July. It takes about 80-100 days from sowing to maturity.

1. Site selection: Corn is not very demanding on soil, but loose, deep, organic-rich soil is best, and the soil pH should be between 6-8.

2. Seed selection: Choose suitable corn varieties and those with high purity and cleanliness for sowing. The seeds must have high resistance to lodging.

3. Sowing: Corn can be sown in holes with a row spacing of about 65 cm. After sowing, watering is required in time according to soil conditions.
