Garlic, also known as garlic, garlic head, single garlic, and Hu garlic, is the underground bulb of the Liliaceae and Allium plants and is planted once a year.

Garlic likes a cool environment and is usually sown in spring and autumn. In the northern region, the temperature is lower in autumn and winter, which is not suitable for sowing. Garlic sowing method

When sowing garlic in autumn, if the soil moisture conditions are poor, the garlic cloves need to be soaked in carbendazim and lime water for 12 hours, then rinsed with clean water before planting. The soil needs to be renovated in advance and some decomposed organic fertilizer should be applied. The garlic needs to be planted straight and steadily, and the ventral and dorsal sides of the garlic cloves should be kept consistent with the row direction. It usually germinates in 7-8 days.

Garlic likes a cool environment and has a certain degree of cold resistance. The suitable growth temperature is between -5 and 26℃. It likes a sunny environment. Flower buds and scale buds will begin to differentiate if the sunshine time is more than 13 hours. It will grow leaves if the sunshine time is short. It likes a humid environment and needs timely watering during the growth period to keep the soil moist.

Garlic ripe harvest

It takes 8 months from sowing to harvesting of garlic. It is usually sown in October each year and harvested in June of the following year. The yield of garlic varies from different varieties and regions. Generally, the yield of garlic per mu is between 1,600 and 2,500 jin. The yield per mu of frequently planted plots is about 2,000 jin.
