The growth cycle of summer corn is about 100 days, but this time is not fixed. It is divided into early-maturing, mid-maturing and late-maturing varieties. The growth process of summer corn

Summer corn growth period maintenance and management

1. During the seedling stage of summer corn, measures such as field inspection, seedling replacement, thinning and finalization, and inter-row cultivation and weeding should be carried out. The main purpose is to make the seedlings strong and uniform.

2. Summer corn needs topdressing during the jointing stage. At this stage, the plant has a higher demand for nutrients and water. About 70 kilograms of urea should be applied per acre.

3. During the flowering and grain stage of summer corn, the main measures to be taken include drainage, emasculation and pollination, and removal of empty stalks.
