How long does it take for Lithops to adapt to the pot?

Lithops acclimatization time

Lithops will acclimate to the pot in about a week after being potted. Generally, there are two ways to judge whether the transplanted Lithops has acclimatized. One is to push it to see if it can be pushed. If it can't be pushed, it means it has acclimatized. The other is to observe the growth of the plant. If it grows taller or crooked, it is also a sign of acclimatization.

Rooting time : Rooting time varies according to different situations. New roots will grow within about a week in spring, but it takes about 3 weeks to basically meet the needs of the plant.

Time for growing new leaves : Generally, Lithops will grow new leaves about two months after being repotted. It likes light, so it is better to place it in a bright and ventilated place on the balcony. You should reduce watering at ordinary times.

How to make Lithops adapt to the pot quickly

1. Prepare loose and fertile culture soil. You can add a mixture of Akadama, peat, orchid stone, planting stone, and bamboo charcoal into the soil. After trimming the roots, you can apply wood ash, sulfur powder, etc. on the wound. Dry it in a well-ventilated place for 3 to 7 days, and then put it in the pot after the wound heals.

2. When planting lithops, pay attention to the spacing and do not plant them too densely. After planting, they need to be placed in a ventilated place for maintenance and not exposed to strong light.

3. Place Lithops in a well-ventilated place with diffused light. No watering is required. You can wait a few days before watering. There is no need to move the plant unless necessary. Keep it under diffused light. Do not leave it in a dark environment, otherwise the plant will not grow healthily.

4. It is not advisable to apply agricultural fertilizer to Lithops in summer. The root system of the plant is weak and easily burned. It is best to apply liquid nutrient solution once a month.

5. After repotting Lithops, there is a growth period of about three days, and then it can be gradually exposed to the sun.
