What are the breeding methods and precautions of Jade Kylin?

Jade Kylin Introduction

Jade Kylin, also known as Kylin Le, Kylin's Forehorn, and Kylin's Palm, is a plant of the Euphorbiaceae family and the Euphorbia genus. It is a variant of the Tyrannosaurus Rex and has yellow-green flowers. It is generally propagated by cuttings.

Jade Qilin breeding method

Jade Kylin can be propagated by cuttings from April to October every year. Select a strong and deformed stem, place it in a well-ventilated place to dry, and then insert it 2 cm into clean river sand. Do not water it for the time being. Spray it with water after two days to keep the soil in the pot moist. It will take root in 30 days.

The soil of Jade Kylin needs to be kept moist during its growth period, but water accumulation is not allowed. Fertilizer can be applied once every half a month. Pay attention to applying thin fertilizers frequently and do not use concentrated fertilizers. The maintenance environment must have sufficient light, but it needs shade in summer and needs to be moved indoors for maintenance in winter.

Watering method

Jade Qilin does not require much water. The principle of watering is "better dry than wet". When the soil in the pot is dry, hard and white, it needs to be watered thoroughly. In winter, watering should be less than usual. If it is maintained indoors, it can be watered thoroughly once every 10 days.

Fertilization method

Jade Qilin does not have high requirements for fertilizer. The principles of fertilization are "prefer less rather than more" and "prefer light rather than concentrated". During the growing season, fully decomposed alum fertilizer water can be applied once every 30 days. When applying fertilizer, avoid raw fertilizer and concentrated fertilizer, otherwise it will easily cause root rot and leaf fall. Stop fertilizing in winter.

Precautions for breeding jade unicorn

Most families can grow Jade Kylin as a bonsai, but if it is to be cultivated in large quantities, soil becomes the most important link. It is best to provide loose, fertile, and well-drained soil.
