Milan should use a large or small pot

When planting Milan, you need to decide based on the size of the Milan plant. Generally, Milan in the seedling stage or with a small plant type can be planted in a small pot. If the Milan has a larger plant type, it can be planted in a large pot. The right size of the pot is beneficial to the growth of Milan.

Growing environment: The most suitable growth temperature for Milan is around 20-25 degrees. It prefers to grow in a warm and humid environment. Generally, when watering, just keep the soil moist.

Repotting time: Milan needs to be repotted after 2 years of maintenance. Generally, the best time to repot is in March in spring, because the Milan plants will be in a dormant stage in these two seasons and the climate will be very stable.

Milan should use a deep or shallow basin

When caring for Milan, whether to use a deep or shallow pot depends on the size of the Milan plant. Small Milan can use a 15-20 cm deep pot, and large Milan can use a 25-35 cm deep pot.

When planting Milan, it is more suitable to use a flower pot with good air permeability and drainage, because such a flower pot will not cause the roots to be suffocated. Usually, Milan can be maintained in unglazed pots and ceramic pots, and then purple clay pots or plastic pots.

Milan repotting method

1. Remove the pot and prune the roots

When removing Milan from the pot, you need to clean some of the soil on the roots and keep some, so that the Milan will acclimate quickly. Then you can cut off the rotten roots, disinfect them and dry them.

2. Put it in the basin

After Milan is processed, it can be put into a pot. The new pot needs to be one size larger than the original pot. The new potting soil should preferably be acidic soil containing leaf mold. When potting, it needs to be placed gently so as not to damage the roots of Milan.
