What are the breeding methods and precautions of red goose palm

Introduction of Red Goose Palm

Red Anthurium belongs to the Araceae family. It can bloom all year round. Its reproduction methods include division, cuttings, and sowing. Common cultivars include dense-leaved Anthurium, white Anthurium, and red Anthurium.

Red goose palm breeding method

Red goose palm likes warm and humid environment, is not resistant to strong light exposure, and is suitable for growing in a semi-shaded environment. The suitable growth temperature is 26-32 degrees during the day and 21-32 degrees at night. It is not resistant to high temperature, the temperature cannot be higher than 35 degrees, and the winter temperature cannot be lower than 14 degrees.

The red goose palm requires an air humidity of about 70% for normal growth. You can spray water in an appropriate amount to increase the air humidity.

Watering method

When watering the red goose palm, pay attention to alternating between dry and wet. Do not water the plant when it is severely short of water, as this will affect its normal growth and development. In summer, it is usually watered once every 2-3 days, and the leaves should be sprayed with water at noon. Control watering in the cold winter, and the water temperature needs to be consistent with the soil temperature to avoid frostbite on the roots.

Fertilization method

When fertilizing red goose palm, you must control the dilution concentration and application amount of the liquid fertilizer. The fertilizer needs to be diluted with water before use, and it should be applied in small amounts and multiple times. Two hours after the liquid fertilizer is applied, you can spray water on the leaves to prevent the fertilizer from staying and burning the leaves.

Pruning methods

During the maintenance of red goose palm, the petioles at the base will gradually degenerate and can be trimmed in time. After the flowering period, the pedicels will turn yellow and can also be trimmed in time to reduce nutrient consumption.

Matters Needing Attention in Breeding Red Goose Palm

During the maintenance of red goose palm, the humidity needs to be controlled, which is beneficial to its growth, development, flowering and fruiting. Water should be sprayed on the leaves, and also sprayed indoors where flowers are grown to allow the leaves to absorb sufficient water. The potting soil needs to be slightly dry in winter. The leaves can be sprayed 2-3 times a week. At night, when the temperature is low, plastic film can be covered to keep them moist.
