How to cultivate Moss

Moss Growing Conditions

Moss is a shade-loving plant. It can grow well without light, but there must be light indoors. The growth shape will be different depending on the intensity of the light. Generally, the suitable temperature for its growth is 24-27℃, at which it can grow more luxuriantly.

How to raise Moss

When growing moss, the temperature needs to be controlled between 24-27℃, and it needs 3-4 hours of light every day. It is recommended to replace 1/3 or 1/4 of the original water volume every week, and it should be pruned regularly to cut off the withered and yellowed leaves.

Moss watering

Moss is usually grown in water, so it does not need watering, but water changes. It prefers freshly changed water, and the water needs to be changed once a week, replacing one-third or one-quarter of the original water volume.

Moss Fertilization

The amount of fertilizer for Moss should be controlled according to its growth status. It is recommended to add a small amount of fertilizer to the newly planted Moss. You can apply a small amount of liquid fertilizer before turning off the lights every night. After about 20 days, you can resume normal water changes and fertilization.

Moss Pest Control

Infectious diseases may occur during the growth of Moss disease, which are mostly manifested by leaf rot, leaf dissolution, stem dissolution or root rot. In addition to the use of antibacterial and antiviral drugs, the prevention and control of this type of disease should also strengthen filtration, appropriately cool down and use ultraviolet lamps to sterilize and disinfect water bodies.

Moss Family Parenting

1. When growing moss at home, the best method is to use strong light, add carbon dioxide, add liquid fertilizer regularly, and control the temperature of the maintenance environment between 22 degrees and 30 degrees, which is suitable for the growth of moss.

2. The temperature for growing moss should not exceed 30 degrees Celsius, otherwise the leaves of the plant will begin to turn yellow and then slowly die, so pay attention to controlling the water temperature.

Moss maintenance precautions

During the maintenance of moss, if you want it to grow quickly, you need to prune it regularly and appropriately, mainly cutting off the withered and yellowed leaves to ensure that it grows more vigorously and healthily.
