How to grow green radishThe big green radish, also known as golden vine and leaf vine, is a plant of the Araceae family and the genus Pothos. It is mostly propagated by cuttings, which also include stem cuttings and leaf cuttings. The varieties of big green radish include green leaf green radish, yellow leaf green radish, variegated leaf green radish, and star-point vine. The large green radish is a shade-loving plant and cannot tolerate direct sunlight. It is suitable for maintenance in semi-shade or scattered light conditions. It can be maintained indoors, generally in spring, summer and autumn. It can be placed on the north or east window. In winter, when the temperature is lower, it can be placed on the south window. If it is maintained outdoors in summer, shading measures need to be taken. The big green radish is suitable for planting in humus-rich, loose, fertile, slightly acidic soil. The potting soil should be a mixture of leaf mold, garden soil, river sand, and manure. It likes a warm growing environment and is not cold-resistant. The wintering temperature should not be lower than 15℃. Watering methodThe big green radish likes a humid environment. The soil in the pot should be kept moist in spring, summer and autumn, but too much watering will cause water accumulation. Generally, water it every 2-3 days in spring and autumn, water it once a day in summer, and spray water around the plant. Watering should be controlled in winter, and water it only after the surface of the pot soil is dry. Fertilization methodThe growth rate of the big green radish is relatively fast, so sufficient fertilizer should be provided during the growth period. Topdressing should be mainly nitrogen, and nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers should be applied in combination. Topdressing should be done once every 10 to 15 days from spring to early summer, and once every 20 to 30 days from summer to early autumn. Do not apply topdressing to the potting soil in winter. Pruning methodsThe big green radish does not need too much pruning. You can pick off the yellow and dead leaves at any time to reduce nutrient consumption. You can prune the branches and leaves according to your preferences. This can enhance the overall ornamental value and better decorate the interior space. Precautions for growing green radishThe big green radish cannot tolerate low temperature environment. The temperature in winter needs to be above 10 degrees. It is best to move it indoors for maintenance. Do not water it too much during the growth period, but do not wait until the soil in the pot is completely dry before watering. When the air is dry, you should spray the leaves frequently. |
