Lemon Origin and Planting

Lemons are grown over a wide area, with the main producing areas generally being Sichuan, Yunnan, Guangdong and Guangxi. Among them, lemons produced in Sichuan are the best, with the largest lemon output and planting area.

The best time to plant lemons is around February to May in spring. Generally, the lemon tree seedlings can be planted in April to June. It is generally most appropriate to plant lemons in breathable, loose acidic leaf mold or garden soil.
