Growth habits of arrowrootArrowroot likes warm, humid, semi-shaded environment. It is not cold-resistant, afraid of dryness, and avoids strong sunlight. It is very sensitive to water. The plant likes to grow in low light or semi-shaded environment. The leaves are easily burned if exposed to strong sunlight. It is suitable for growing in fertile, loose, well-drained leaf mold soil. Light requirements: Arrowroot prefers shade or partial shade, and avoids direct sunlight. It should not be placed under direct sunlight, otherwise the leaves will turn green and lose their luster. In severe cases, it will cause sunburn. However, it should not be placed in a dark and poorly ventilated place for a long time to prevent the leaves from turning yellow and falling off. Avoid strong sunlight exposure. Growth temperature: The suitable temperature for the growth of arrowroot is 18~30℃. In late spring and early summer, when the ambient temperature exceeds 25℃, measures such as shading and watering should be taken to create a cool, ventilated, moist and semi-shaded environment for it. In winter, the ambient temperature is required to be no less than 10℃. When the temperature is below 5℃, it will be severely damaged by frost. How to grow arrowrootThe arrowroot should be placed in a semi-shaded place and the temperature should be kept between 20-28℃. During the growth period, fertilize once every 15 days and water it appropriately to keep the soil slightly moist without stagnant water. Once it becomes sick, cut off the diseased leaves in time and then spray the plant with the appropriate medicine. Watering the arrowroot: Water the arrowroot on its roots, which will help it absorb water better. However, be careful not to allow waterlogging, which will cause the roots to rot. Water thoroughly when the soil is dry during the growing season, and drain during the rainy season. When the soil turns white during the dormant period, add a small amount of water. Fertilizing arrowroot: During its growth process, arrowroot can be watered with rare organic fertilizer once a week, and a mixture of urea and potassium dihydrogen phosphate can be sprayed. After summer, when the temperature is higher than 32°C, fertilization should be stopped. In early autumn and winter, if the room temperature is lower than 18°C, all forms of topdressing should also be stopped, otherwise it will easily cause fertilizer damage and root rot. Arrowroot pruning: To make the arrowroot look good, you should cut off the weaker branches in the plant to make the plant look stronger and healthier. In addition, cutting off the sick and weak branches can reduce the invasion of pests and diseases, which is beneficial to the growth of arrowroot. Arrowroot care precautionsArrowroot needs a ventilated growing environment, not too closed, and preferably with a breeze. You should take good care of the arrowroot and trim the yellow leaves and withered flowers in time. It particularly likes moisture. In addition to spraying water on the leaves and surrounding areas to increase humidity, you can also wipe the leaves with a soft cloth dipped in clean water. |
