Violet growth environment conditions and requirements

Violets are native to the Mediterranean coast of Europe and have been introduced for cultivation in southern cities of my country. The plants prefer a cool, humid and ventilated climate environment, have relatively high requirements for light, and are cold-resistant but not shade-tolerant.

Violet growth temperature

The most suitable growth temperature for violets is 15-18℃, and the night temperature should be around 10℃. The plant has a certain degree of cold resistance and can withstand temperatures as low as -4℃.

Violet growth humidity

Violets also have certain requirements for air humidity, preferably around 70%. When the air is too dry, you should spray water appropriately to keep it moist, but it should not be too humid, otherwise it will breed diseases and pests.

Violet growing soil

Violets like loose, fertile, well-drained slightly alkaline soil. When caring for them in potted plants, you can use perlite, vermiculite, and peat soil to prepare them, and also add an appropriate amount of base fertilizer to the soil.

Violet growth cycle and process

The violet plant goes through several stages of growth, including germination, seedling, flowering, pollination, fruiting, and leaf fall. If managed properly, it will bloom about 3 months after planting. It has a growing period of about 5 months, and the flowering period is from April to May.
