When to plant garlic

Garlic is mostly sown and propagated in spring, specifically from February to March, when the temperature is stable at around 17°C. At this time, the germination rate is the highest, and it can usually be harvested in the year of planting.

Planting time in the north and south: There is not much difference in the time for planting garlic in the north and south. It can be sown in spring or autumn. Autumn sowing can be chosen in September-October.

Greenhouse planting time: If you use a greenhouse to grow garlic, you can sow it all year round. If the temperature is properly controlled, the plants can safely survive the winter.

Hebei Garlic

Hebei white garlic

Hebei white-skinned garlic can only be sown in spring and harvested in the same year. The plant has small garlic cloves and poor cold resistance, making it the best variety for pickled sugar garlic.
