The environmental conditions and characteristics of the growth of Oyster mushroom

Environmental conditions and requirements for the growth of Oyster mushroom

Oyster mushroom is a kind of fungus with good nutritional value. It generally grows on rotten trees or semi-rotten trees. When planting, a mushroom bed is needed to create a growth environment. It does not require light before growth.

Growth temperature of oyster mushroom

The temperature requirements of Oyster mushroom are different in different growth periods. Generally, it can grow in an environment of 5-35 degrees. The most suitable growth temperature for Oyster mushroom is around 20-30 degrees. Only when the temperature is suitable can the mycelium of Oyster mushroom grow normally.

Mushroom growth humidity

During the growth process, Oyster mushrooms have relatively high requirements for humidity. Generally, the most suitable cultivation humidity is in the range of 60-65%. Once it is lower than this humidity range, the growth of mycelium will be inhibited. If the temperature is too high, the fungus will easily crack.

Mushroom growing soil

Oyster mushrooms are not grown in the soil. When they are cultivated artificially, they can be propagated using rotten wood or bark. The propagation medium generally only needs to have high temperature and high humidity. In addition, the pH value of the medium can be between 5.4-7.5.

Growth cycle and process of Oyster mushroom

The growth cycle of Oyster mushroom is about 4 to 5 months. Generally, when planting Oyster mushroom, most people will build a shed and then plant it on a mushroom bed. The material used for the mushroom bed can be a mixture of corn cob powder, rice bran, lime and water, followed by normal fermentation and sterilization.
