Orchid Growth Environmental Conditions and Requirements

Orchid is a relatively common ornamental plant. my country's ecological environment is complex, and orchids are distributed almost everywhere in my country. They prefer a cool, humid and ventilated climate and have high requirements for nutrients.

Orchid Growth Temperature

The most suitable growth temperature for orchids is 15-25℃. Temperatures that are too high or too low will affect the growth of the plants. When the temperature is below 10℃, the growth of the plants will be affected, but there is no need to worry about small temperature changes.

Orchid growth humidity

Orchids have high requirements for air humidity, and the best relative humidity is between 70% and 90%. If orchids are grown in a dry environment for a long time, the plants will have yellow and dry leaves.

Orchid growing soil

Orchids like breathable and well-drained soil. The soil can be prepared with leaf mold, perlite and peat soil in a ratio of 6:3:1, which is more conducive to the healthy growth of the plant.

Orchid Growth Cycle and Process

Spring and autumn are the peak growth periods for orchids. The plant's growth goes through several stages: seedling stage, vegetative growth stage, flower ball growth stage, and flowering and seed setting stage. The plant is about 30-40 days old, after which leaves and flowers will gradually grow. It takes 4-5 years from planting to flowering.
