How to hydroponically grow gerbera

How to hydroponically grow gerbera

1. Hydroponic method

It is very simple to grow gerbera hydroponically. No special treatment is required. Just clean it and put it in a vase. Note that the leaves of the plant cannot be soaked in water as they will easily rot. If you find that the water in the bottle is getting less, you should add water in time, otherwise the roots of the plant will dry up.

2. Water culture and maintenance

1. Light: When hydroponically cultivating, it does not need to be exposed to too strong light. Just give it appropriate scattered light. In summer, it needs to be shaded and not be exposed to direct strong light.

2. Change water: It is very important to change water in time. When you first start hydroponics, you need to change the water once a week. In the later stage of hydroponics, it is recommended to change the water every 10 days or half a month. When the temperature is high, water changes should be more frequent.

3. Cleaning: Every time you change the water, use clean water to properly clean the plant roots and the inside of the container.

4. Pruning: If you find rotten roots and dead leaves on the plant, you should use sterilized scissors to trim off the rotten roots, but do not damage the healthy roots.
