How to care for celery peony

Growing conditions for peony

The peony prefers a cool and semi-shady environment and needs sufficient light during its growth, but direct sunlight should be avoided when the sun is strong. The daytime temperature suitable for its growth is around 20°C and the nighttime temperature is between 7 and 10°C. It should grow in well-drained, fertile and loose neutral or alkaline soil.

How to grow peony

Celery peony can accept full sunlight in winter, and it needs full shade in summer. It needs to be provided with a growing environment of 15-20℃. Watering should be timely, and the soil should not be too dry or too wet. During the growing period, sufficient base fertilizer and appropriate topdressing should be applied, and fertilizer should be applied once every 7 days.

Watering the peony

The peony needs to be watered thoroughly once after planting, and watering should be timely during the maintenance process. Be careful not to let the soil be too dry or too wet. If the soil is too wet, it will easily cause the roots of the plant to rot.

Fertilizing peony

It is only necessary to fertilize the peony with 1-2 times a year. It is better to choose organic fertilizer, which makes it easier for the peony with 1-2 times a year to absorb more nutrients, so that it can grow and bloom. The flowerpot should be fertilized at least twice a year.

How to grow peony at home

When growing peony at home, you can choose nutrient-rich and breathable sandy soil, and provide a semi-shaded or appropriately scattered light environment, but the light should not be too strong.

Add water to the peony in moderation, not too wet. Mix base fertilizer into the soil when planting, and use fertilizer in moderation afterwards. The temperature should be 15 to 20 degrees during the day and 7 to 8 degrees at night. Prune in time after flowering.

Notes on the maintenance of peony

Generally speaking, when the peony grows fast, you can expose it to diffuse light for a while, but in summer, the light must not be too strong, because it is dormant at this time and should be placed in a cool place.
