How to sow passion fruit seeds? Will they bear fruit if they are not exposed to the sun?

1. Sowing method

1. Prepare the soil: Passion fruit has low requirements for soil. Generally, as long as the soil is deep, contains organic matter and has a pH value between 5.5 and 6.5, it can be used. When growing potted plants at home, it is best to disinfect the prepared soil to prevent pathogens in the soil from harming its growth.

2. Soak the seeds: dig out the passion fruit seeds, clean them, dry them and then sow them in spring. Before sowing, soak the seeds in clean water for about a day, or use carbendazim to disinfect and soak the seeds, which can greatly increase the chance of germination. After soaking the seeds, they need to be germinated for 2-3 days, and can only be sown after the seeds turn white.

3. Sowing: When sowing, place the germinated seeds in the soil and then cover them with 1 cm thick soil. Or you can cover it with wood shavings, manure and other materials, then water it thoroughly and cover it with a film. After waiting for it to grow into seedlings, you can remove the film.

2. Can results be achieved without light?

If passion fruit does not receive sunlight during its growth period, it generally will not bear fruit. If there is no light for a long time, the growth of the plant will be affected and it will be difficult to bloom and bear fruit. Therefore, it needs more sunlight during the maintenance period, and it is recommended to plant it in a sunny place.
