What to do if Phalaenopsis does not bloom

What to do if Phalaenopsis does not bloom

1. Reduce light

1. Reason: Phalaenopsis does not like sunlight. If it grows in a place with strong light, it will be difficult for the flowers to bloom.

2. Solution: The light should not be too strong, but it needs to be there so that the flowers will bloom beautifully. Normally we can place it in a place with scattered light, but we cannot let it be directly exposed to the sun.

2. Adjust the temperature

1. Reason: The temperature cannot be too high in summer, nor too low in winter, otherwise its growth will be affected or even die. Moreover, if the temperature is very low, its flower buds will shrink and its flowering will be affected in the spring of the following year.

2. Solution: adjust the temperature to 16 to 30 degrees. You can lower the temperature appropriately in summer and move it to the greenhouse in winter.

3. Adjust humidity

1. Reason: It likes high humidity. If the humidity is very low, the number of flowers will gradually decrease, or even worse, it will be difficult for it to bloom.

2. Solution: frequently water the place where new roots grow, and water less after it blooms to regulate the humidity.

4. Increase water content

1. Reason: When it grows faster than watering, the soil should be kept moist. If there is insufficient water, flowering will be affected.

2. Solution: Water it more in the summer so that it will not wilt due to too little water. In winter, you can extend the watering interval so that it will not affect flowering.

5. Ventilation and drainage

1. Reason: If there is no good ventilation and drainage conditions, it is easy for the roots to rot, and the flowering will not be fast.

2. Solution: Find a suitable place with good ventilation and replace the flower pot with one with good drainage.

6. Adjust fertilization

1. Reason: If too much nitrogen fertilizer is applied, it will be difficult for it to bloom. In addition, improper fertilization will also affect flowering.

2. Solution: Apply a certain amount of potassium fertilizer. It is still necessary to apply less fertilizer when the buds are forming so that the flowers will not fall off. Do not apply fertilizer when the temperature is too high or too low.
