How to cultivate money string to make it flourish

Growing conditions of money tree

Money tree likes sunshine and should be placed in a place with scattered sunlight. The suitable temperature for its growth is about 25 degrees. In winter, timely anti-cold and warming measures should be taken to avoid frostbite from the cold to ensure that the plant can safely and smoothly survive the winter. The plant is suitable for growing in soil with good air permeability and water permeability.

How to raise a money string

When growing money plant, you must pay attention to appropriate lighting. In the summer, you must shade the plants under strong sunlight. The soil should not be too moist. When the temperature is too low, stop fertilizing, otherwise it will easily damage the plant stems. In the winter when the temperature is low, you must also protect the plants from the cold.

Money string watering

Money tree has strong drought resistance and should be watered once every eight days. The frequency of watering can be increased in summer. Do not water too much in autumn. Water only when the soil in the pot is dry. In winter, water it once a month is enough.

Fertilization of money string

A small amount of compound fertilizer can be applied to the money tree during its growth period, preferably once a month. If you have wood ash at home, you can also spread it in the pot to help its growth. In addition, add a small amount of liquid phosphorus and potassium fertilizer in the autumn and stop fertilizing in the winter.

Pest control of money tree

The common disease of money chain is gray mold. In the early stage of the disease, it can generally be sterilized with carbendazim or thiophanate-methyl. The main insect pest is whitefly. When it is found, just spray imidacloprid in time. It will be effective after two or three times, and the effect is quite significant.

How to raise a money-gathering child at home

When cultivating the money tree at home, it is necessary to use loose, breathable, slightly acidic soil with good ventilation for cultivation. It is usually placed in a place with scattered light, avoiding direct sunlight, and the growth temperature is controlled between 18 and 28 degrees Celsius.

Don’t water the money tree too much. Spray it with water mainly to keep the soil in the pot relatively dry to avoid root rot. In addition to the base fertilizer applied before potting, you can apply some compound fertilizer every month.

Money string maintenance precautions

1. In order to avoid water accumulation or excessive humidity in the pot, which may cause root rot, the soil in the pot should be kept slightly moist. Watering should also be done in moderation, and attention should be paid to whether the humidity in the soil in the pot is appropriate at all times.

2. During the summer dormancy period, water and fertilizer should be strictly controlled, especially topdressing should be stopped; when the temperature drops, especially when it drops below 15°C, topdressing should be stopped in time, otherwise it will easily cause fertilizer damage to the root system.
