How to plant roses

How to plant roses

1. Sowing method

Its seeds have a dormant period. If you grow them directly as seedlings, you will have to wait for more than a year before they slowly grow into seedlings. Therefore, if you want to grow them successfully, you must first process the seeds to break their dormancy period.

First, soak its seeds in water for 1 to 2 days, then take them out, add an appropriate amount of wet sand, and then squeeze the wet sand into a ball and wait until no water seeps out. After that, place it in a container and water it to keep it moist. This treatment method is mostly used in winter, and then in spring, you can take them out to dry, and when half of the seeds are cracked, you can plant them in the flower soil.

2. Other planting methods

The most commonly used method in production is to use the flower branches of the current year for cuttings and seedling cultivation, which will make it easier for it to survive. Cut off its young branches, insert them into the soil and wait for them to take root.

If it is some of the more precious varieties, it is difficult to propagate by cuttings. At this time, we can use layering or grafting methods to cultivate seedlings, so that it can bloom in the same year.

If you want to use it as a potted seedling, you should choose some old branches of good varieties, and then use the layering method to grow it. If you are going to use the seedlings as cut flowers, you should choose brightly colored varieties with branches that can form flowers for seedling cultivation, so that the propagated plants will look better.
