Cutting method of big leaf green radish

Cutting method of big leaf green radish

1. Prepare the cuttings

Choose a healthy mother plant and then select the strongest branches from it. After selecting, cut it off and then cut it into sections of about fifteen centimeters. After cutting, trim the leaves so that only two to four leaves are left.

2. Prepare the pot and soil

There are not too many requirements for the pot, and an ordinary clay pot can be used. The requirements for soil are relatively high. It needs to use soil that is breathable, loose and permeable. Sandy soil can be selected.

3. Prepare the pillars

To propagate the large-leafed green ivy by cuttings, you need to make it into a green ivy column, so you need a support. Choose a thicker bamboo pole and use it as a support. Wrap it with a piece of string and place it in the center of the pot. After adjusting the position, fill it with soil.

4. Take cuttings

The next step is to insert the cuttings into the soil. During the specific operation, the cuttings can be inserted around the support. Note that the leaves should face outwards and the cuttings should be carried out from the inside to the outside. Pay attention to the depth as well, it is better to control it at about one-third of the cuttings.

5. Post-insertion management

After planting, first water it thoroughly and then place it in a cool and ventilated place. After about half a month, you can observe rooting.
