How to grow rubber trees in autumn

How to grow rubber trees in autumn

1. Increase lighting

After autumn, the sun's exposure time decreases and the intensity of light also decreases. Therefore, the rubber tree needs to be placed in a place where it can receive sufficient light so that it can synthesize nutrients smoothly and grow healthily. If the light provided cannot meet its growth needs, it may cause growth problems such as falling leaves and yellowing leaves.

2. Replace the potting soil

If you didn't change the flower soil in the spring, you can change it in the autumn when the temperature is more suitable. The new soil needs to have high drainage and good air permeability. It can be made by mixing leaf mold, garden soil and river sand in equal proportions. This will allow it to grow better.

3. Indoor breeding

In the early autumn, you can grow it outdoors. The temperature at this time is moderate and suitable for its growth. When the temperature drops to around 12℃, you can still keep it outdoors, which can increase its frost resistance and help it survive the winter. However, when the temperature drops to around 5℃, be sure to move it indoors and place it in a warm place, otherwise it may be frostbitten.
