How to grow Lithops

How to grow Lithops

1. Suitable substrate

It has high requirements on soil. Because it is afraid of waterlogging, the soil must have good air permeability and drainage. It needs sufficient nutrients to grow, so use soil that contains more nutrients. Specifically, it is best to use sandy soil and add some base fertilizer to it. In addition, it is also important to change the soil regularly, usually in autumn.

2. Suitable temperature

It likes warmth and is afraid of cold. The temperature is preferably around 20 degrees. Be careful in winter and don't let the temperature drop below ten degrees. Of course, the temperature is not the higher the better, and it is not good to be above 30 degrees.

3. Appropriate amount of water

It is afraid of waterlogging, so water must not accumulate. Generally speaking, watering two to three times a week is sufficient. Water thoroughly each time. However, do not water on rainy days, because not only is there insufficient light at this time, but the water also evaporates slowly, which can easily lead to water accumulation after watering. Summer is a special period, it may go dormant and only needs to be watered once a month.

4. Adequate lighting

The plant itself likes light, so there must be sufficient light. Strong light should be avoided. In winter, in order to better survive the winter, light can be provided throughout the day.

5. Appropriate amount of fertilizer

After it sheds its skin, it needs to be supplemented with an appropriate amount of flower fertilizer. Compound fertilizer can be used, which can promote its growth.
