How to change the soil for Molan

How to change the soil for Molan

1. Reasons for soil replacement

Because the roots of Mo Lan consume nutrients quickly, they will absorb all the nutrients in the soil within half a year. If the soil is not changed in time, the plant will be malnourished. Also, because its roots grow very fast, they will fill the flowerpot in half a year. If you don't change the pot, there will be no room for growth.

2. Soil Selection

When changing the soil, you don't need to replace all of it, you only need to replace more than half of it. This can prevent it from being unable to adapt to the new environment and affecting its growth. It likes fertilizer and is not tolerant to waterlogging. When changing its soil, you can choose humus soil with good air permeability and fertile soil. This way, the soil is in line with its growth habits and will make it grow better and better.

3. Soil replacement method

1. Remove it from the pot first. Do not pull the plant out directly, but slowly break the pot apart and take out the soil along with the plant. Then trim the roots of the plant and remove any rotten or dried roots. After pruning, place it in a cool place to dry for a while.

2. Dig up two-thirds of the old soil, fill in new soil, then stir it evenly, and put a small part of the soil into the new pot.

3. Straighten the plant, place it in the pot, and slowly fill the pot with soil until it reaches the base of the plant. Then compact the soil surface and water it thoroughly.

IV. Precautions

After successfully changing the soil, place it where it cannot be exposed to the sun and do not move it during this period. Once it has adapted to the new potting soil, it can be cultivated normally. This usually takes about one to two weeks.
