Cut it once in autumn, and the longevity Christmas cactus will bloom with five colors of flowers, forming a waterfall of flowers!

If you graft Christmas cactus like this, you will get 100 flowers!

If you want Christmas cactus to bloom more and larger flowers, it is best to choose grafting!

Steps:

1. For grafting Christmas cactus, you can choose cactus, leaf cactus and dragon fruit. However, for flower lovers in the north, if you use cacti for grafting, it is best to choose cold-resistant varieties so that they will not freeze to death in winter.

2. Use a sterilized knife to cut off the top section of the cactus. Then find a rust-proof iron nail and use the sterilized iron nail to pierce the middle of the cut of the cactus. Remember to completely pierce the iron nail into the cactus. Finally, just take out the nails!

3. Choose the scion needed for grafting, which is the Christmas cactus leaf. It is best to choose leaves that are thick and strong, and retain 2-3 leaf sections, so as to increase the survival rate.

4. Use a sterilized blade to remove the left and right sides of the stem node at the lower end of the Christmas cactus leaf, leaving a part that is about the width of the iron nail.

5. Insert the processed Christmas cactus branches directly into the joint pressed out by the cactus with the iron nail. If you want to speed up the healing of the wound, you can also seal the joint with wax. This way the grafting is successful!

6. After the grafting is completed, place the Christmas cactus in a cool and ventilated place, where it can receive sufficient scattered light, and do not rush to water it. After about half a month, if the Christmas cactus has not wilted, it basically means that the grafting is successful.

7. The interface of Christmas cactus grafted by this method is relatively small, the chance of bacterial infection is reduced, and the survival rate of grafting will be greatly increased. In the future, as long as you take good care of it and apply more fertilizer, you will soon be able to make the Christmas cactus bloom more flowers!

If you graft Kalanchoe in this way, it will never suffer from black rot again!

A large part of the reason why you don’t grow Kalanchoe well at home is because of black rot! So it is better to use jade plant for grafting. The grafted jade plant will live longer and it will be difficult to get black rot!

Steps:

1. Prepare the tools needed for grafting: a sharp knife, alcohol, plastic wrap, and small clips.

2. Find a jade tree that needs to be grafted. Why use jade tree for grafting? Because the leaves of jade plants are thick, evergreen all year round and very drought-resistant, they are an ideal grafting rootstock for Kalanchoe, which is particularly susceptible to black rot!

3. First disinfect the knife with alcohol, then find a non-lignified branch on the jade tree, cut off a section of the branch with a knife, then split it in the middle and cut it twice to make a V-shaped incision.

4. Choose a sturdy Kalanchoe branch, cut the lower end of the Kalanchoe branch into a duckbill shape, and then insert it directly into the jade plant branch.

5. In order to make the wound heal faster, you can wrap the interface with a plastic bag and then gently clamp it with a small clip.

6. Place the grafted Kalanchoe in a cool and ventilated place. There is no need to water it during this period. Observe it after about 15-20 days. If the leaves of the Kalanchoe do not wilt, it basically means that the grafting has survived!
