The best time to sow onions is between September and October, and the most suitable time is after mid-September. At this time, the weather is relatively cool in most areas, and the germination rate of seeds after sowing is high.

2. Sowing Method

Before sowing onion seeds, it is best to turn them over and dry them in the sun, then soak the seeds in 50°C warm water and rub the seeds to remove the wax layer. Sprinkle the soil to be sown with decomposed organic fertilizer, then deep plow the soil and level the land. This can be done simply by preparing the ridges. When sowing, you can do row sowing, keep the row spacing at about 10 cm, and the furrow depth at about 3 cm. The seeds can be covered with a thin layer of soil and then simply watered. They will germinate in about 5 to 7 days.
