How to propagate money tree

1. Division method

(1) Time: Usually in April. Specific adjustments can be made to specific regions, but the temperature must be above 18 degrees.

(2) Steps: Remove the mother plant from the pot and shake off the excess soil. After that, observe its tubers and separate them from the weak points. Treat the wound with wood ash to prevent it from rotting. After that, you can plant it. The depth should not be too deep, just 1.5 to 2 centimeters. In addition, its tubers carry latent buds, so they can be directly divided into small pieces and buried separately in moist sandy soil. Once these small tubers grow, they can be planted individually.

2. Cutting method

(1) Material acquisition and processing: The cutting method generally uses leaf cuttings. So the material is also leaves. It is best to cut leaves with petioles. After all the materials are cut, they need to be treated with indolebutyric acid. After treatment, the chances of successful reproduction will be greatly improved.

(2) Matrix: It can be prepared with peat soil, perlite and river sand in a ratio of 3:1:1.

(3) Cutting: After completing the above steps, the material is inserted into the matrix. Generally, the vertical insertion method is adopted. Can also be laid flat.

(4) Subsequent maintenance: The most important thing is to ensure that the substrate is kept moist. The temperature should be between 25 and 27 degrees. After about fifty to sixty days, the base of the petiole will swell and new roots will grow.
