What fertilizer is good for cactus?

What fertilizer is good for cactus?

1. What kind is better?

(1) Bone meal and hoof horn: Both contain relatively high levels of phosphorus and their effects last longer. However, if it is hoof horn, it should be cut into slices first and then soaked in water; if it is bone meal, it can be soaked directly in water. After that, take the clear liquid above, dilute it, and then you can use it.

(2) Wood ash: This fertilizer contains a lot of potassium and is a very commonly used potassium fertilizer. It can be mixed into the soil for use.

(3) Animal feces: chicken manure, cow dung, and human feces are all acceptable. They can be used as base fertilizer or diluted in water. Overall, the effect is good and natural, with no harm to the plants themselves and no pollution.

(4) Compound fertilizer: Here we are talking about compound fertilizers sold on the market, which are also very effective. Moreover, it takes effect quickly and lasts long. Dissolve it in water and it is ready to use.

2. Notes

(1) Regardless of the type of fertilizer used, make sure it is well decomposed. Moreover, it should not contain too much salt. In general, the combination of fertilizers is mainly phosphorus and potassium, supplemented by nitrogen.

(2) Also pay attention to the frequency of fertilization. Generally speaking, the vigorous growth period of most varieties is in spring and autumn, and this period can be done once every half a month. It is best to stop fertilizing during the high temperatures of midsummer. If the temperature does not meet the requirements in winter, it is best to stop.
