How to deal with Clivia after it bears fruit

How to deal with Clivia after it bears fruit

1. Will the plant bear fruit?

After Clivia blooms, some will bear fruit and some will not. In general, the results are relatively rare. These fruits are also seeds. When they are ripe, you can collect them and store them for use when sowing.

2. What to do after the results

It’s actually very simple, just wait for the fruits to ripen and then pick them. The seeds are green at first, and when they turn red, it means they are ripe. Collect and save them, and then sow them when the time comes.

3. Maintenance after fruiting

(1) Light: Good light is important for its growth. Generally speaking, it is best to ensure sufficient light after the fruiting. But the light should not be too strong. Place it near a window or on a balcony to diffuse the light.

(2) Watering: After the fruits are formed, always pay attention to the dryness and wetness of the soil. When the soil is half dry, it is time to water. Don't water too much, just keep it slightly moist but not wet. It is best not to use tap water. The most suitable water is magnetized water. If you don’t have it, you can also use rainwater, pond water, etc.

(3) Fertilization: Apply an appropriate amount of fertilizer after the fruit is produced. Fertilizers such as cake fertilizer and bone meal can be used, and the specific amount depends on the size of the specific plant. In addition to these solid fertilizers, liquid fertilizers can also be used and applied in the morning.
