How to grow pearl orange

How to grow pearl orange

1. Adequate astigmatism

Pearl orange can tolerate partial shade and needs sufficient sunlight during the growth process. It cannot be too shaded. It can be grown under bright diffuse light. Receiving sufficient diffuse light can promote growth and fruiting. Although there is enough light, the light in summer is strong, so you need to pay attention to shade and avoid direct exposure to strong sunlight.

2. Suitable temperature

The most suitable temperature for the growth of pearl orange is around 10℃-20℃. It has strong cold resistance and can withstand a certain degree of low temperature in winter, but the temperature is best kept above 5℃.

3. Proper watering

Pearl orange likes to grow in a slightly moist place. During the growing period, the soil in the pot should be kept moist and watered appropriately to replenish moisture. However, each watering should be moderate. Do not give too much water, otherwise it will affect the growth. Be careful not to water the leaves or fruits, otherwise it will cause rot. You can choose to immerse the pot to replenish moisture. Growth is slow in winter, so reduce watering and keep the soil in the pot dry.

4. Reasonable fertilization

During the growing season, apply fertilizer every 1-2 weeks to meet the nutrient needs of the pearl orange. Fertilization should be reduced in winter.

5. Prevention and control of pests and diseases

Diseases and pests may breed during the growth process, so you need to ventilate the plant more often and pay attention to prevention. Once they appear, you need to spray pesticides in time to treat them.
