How to grow ping pong chrysanthemum

How to grow ping pong chrysanthemum

1. Breeding environment

1. Soil: Ping pong chrysanthemum likes loose, fertile, well-drained and humus-rich soil.

2. Temperature: The temperature suitable for the growth of ping pong chrysanthemum is 18-21℃. Too high or too low temperature will affect its growth. The night temperature should not be lower than 10℃.

3. Water: It is very afraid of waterlogging, so do not water it excessively. Wait until the soil is dry before watering. The soil should be kept dry but not too moist.

4. Light: Ping pong chrysanthemum needs to receive appropriate light every day and be repotted in time, otherwise its growth will be easily affected by uneven light.

2. Breeding Methods

Propagation by cuttings: Choose healthy branches as cuttings, the length is generally 8-10 cm, and it is best to leave 2-3 leaves on the branches. After cutting, place them in a ventilated place to dry. You can apply some rooting powder and then insert them into the soil. Avoid strong light exposure, and they will take root in about 20 days.

3. Common pests and diseases

In an environment with high humidity, lack of ventilation and insufficient light, ping pong chrysanthemum is prone to diseases and pests, generally powdery mildew, brown spot disease and aphids. Therefore, during the maintenance process, it is necessary to control the humidity, open windows for ventilation appropriately, and ensure sufficient light. Once found, use pesticides such as carbendazim or methyl thiophanate to spray for prevention and control to avoid harming more plants.
